Adorned with thousands of fairy lights and capable of creating an enchanting atmosphere, it was designed to provide a memorable backdrop for wedding receptions, corporate events, birthday parties, anniversaries, and other large gatherings.
Spanning approximately 120 sqm and seating up to around 120 guests, the marquee allows Stone Court House to welcome larger celebrations without placing all pressure on the historic interiors. Its permanent, weather-protected design, professional flooring, elegant décor, and fairy-light canopy make it suitable for all-season events while keeping the character of the property at the heart of the experience.
Today, The Star Chambers Marquee shows how Stone Court House continues to evolve as a living venue. It supports weddings and modern hospitality while giving guests the atmosphere of a historic Maidstone house, a starlit reception space, and a seamless route between ceremony, dining, celebration, and overnight accommodation.
Personal Restoration Note
The Star Chambers Marquee was added because we wanted Stone Court House to continue living, not simply to be preserved. Weddings and celebrations bring joy, music, families, and new memories into the property. For us, the marquee allows the historic house to be protected while still sharing its atmosphere with people at some of the most important moments of their lives.

An open area beside the house became a permanent, weather-protected reception space seating up to 120 guests beneath a canopy of fairy lights.
